  1. Patti, ( I hope you allow me to call you Patti);
    I’ve been reading your blogs and just want to say that you are an amazing writer. They are insightful, educational and quite humorous. It’s my pleasure to read these. I hope you do not block me from such.
    I want to tell you something. Please hear me out. I think you have raised an amazing daughter in Elizabeth Dickinson. You undertook a feat that I myself could not. To you and your husband I give my utmost respect. You will always be her mother. I would never try to step in the way of that, nor could I.
    I have asked Elizabeth on several occasions if I could ever meet with you and she immediately replies that you have no desire to do so. I think I can understand that.
    I would like to know if there is any chance, that you could give me any information about how she was growing up? I have heard her stories, but as with everything, there are always two sides. And I would be honored to hear the adult version, if you would so oblige.
    I have made so many mistakes in my life. I am not proud of them. All I can do now is move forward and not keep repeating myself. But what you and your husband did for me, there is not enough love, nor enough words, that I could say to God for thanking him for you.
    Again, thank-you both and may God continue to shine his light upon you.
    Hope to hear from you

    • Cindi — I am completely embarrassed that I have what must look like completely ignored your note. I just happened upon it tonight when I was working on another blog. Please accept my apology.

      Thank you for your kind words. I love to write. It really is an outlet for me. I went back to work about a year and a half ago and don’t have near the time I used to to devote to it. I teach in a middle school in an alternative education setting. Eight kids probably qualifies me for that job, huh?

      You sound like a nice person. Thank you for writing.
